the Emon Monastery 'Saint Vlasius' is located in the center of the resort town of Saint Vlas. "St. Vlasius", with the monastery "Saint Nicholas", was the most prominent of the Emon monasteries, which formed a Small Holy Forest.
there are reports that the monastery reached its heyday in the 12th-14th centuries, and especially in the 14th century, during the reign of the Bulgarian king Ivan Alexander (1331-1371). There is a high probability that the great Bulgarian priest-hesychast Theodosius Turnovski resided here.
